CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) - “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”
Bible Proverbs 23:7

“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is
pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”
The Buddha, The Dhammapada

“The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed
without changing our thinking.”
Albert Einstein

CBT teaches that one’s own thoughts and the meaning we give to them rather than the external factors we’d like to blame are responsible for our feelings, moods, and behaviors. CBT is taught to each client in the traditional therapeutic model or as it is taught in the Vedas, ancient teachings from India. You will examine your thoughts by practicing mindfulness, watching the thoughts, then becoming more aware of what meaning you give to them, then how you react to that meaning, and learning a new way of reacting. Replacing negative thought patterns or core beliefs with more positive ones is the goal as it changes you and the world around you. All feelings are natural but we may not have learned to express them in a healthy way. Through mindfulness it becomes possible to become the kind of person you’ve always wanted to be. Nature will not allow a void so replacing a negative with a positive is essential to this philosophy. This works well with any issue and it can become a new pattern in life and make you a happy, confident, fulfilled person who is able to deal with all the challenges life presents you with - and it does, doesn’t it?

Dr. Masuro Emoto demonstrates how thoughts affect water molecules in the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?” and says we should send loving thoughts because if our negative thoughts can have such a destructive effect on a water molecule imagine what it does to us as we are 60-90% water? Imagine the effect positive thoughts can have on us and the world around us. (See the above photo.)Their second movie is “Down the Rabbit Hole”, and the third is “Ghetto Physics”. I also recommend the movie, books or CD’s from “The Secret”.
